GEA Farm Technologies acquires South West Dairy Services

Dairy equipment specialists GEA Farm Technologies has acquired South West Dairy Services, expanding its presence further in the region.

Devon-based South West Dairy Services has already been operating as one of GEA Farm Technologies main dealers, and has a team of service engineers, dairy hygiene specialists, and installers working throughout the south west of England.

Last year, GEA Farm Technologies also acquired Venture Dairy Services.

Simon Redfearn, GEA managing director, said: “We look forward to improving further the high levels of customer service South West Dairy Services offer and the breadth of knowledge, skill and resources that has been built up over the years, by Phil Squires.

“This acquisition is a fantastic opportunity to further our growth strategy in the UK. Along with being part of the Milking Systems Technician Accreditation Scheme (MSTA), this acquisition by GEA means we are well placed to assist and partner in our customers’ progression in the dairy industry.”

Simon Harper, GEA director of sales, added that South West Dairy Services was a well-respected dealership, with about 12 employees, and they looked forward to working with them to continue growing the business.
